:: Today ::

I was so happy to spend the day with the kids and husband home for Veteran's day. I feel so relaxed now, not my usual for this time of week. I find when I'm in this frame of mind, it's easier to notice the beauty that surrounds me in my everyday. This picture was taken with my phone... it's a plant I've passed by before, but something about it struck me today. Isn't it lovely!

The International Quilt Study Center made a video of Nancy Crow's lecture that she gave prior to the opening of her "Cloth, Culture & Context" show earlier this year. This show was one of the museum's inaugural exhibitions. I soooo had wanted to go to this show, but being "geographically challenged," I was not able to. I thrilled that someone took the time to not only record her speech, but also submit it to iTunes for other to see. God bless technology!

While you are there, check out the other video and audio files the International Quilt Study Center has on iTunes. Some of them are quite interesting!

Robin, Thanks for the link to the Crow lecture. That plant is spectacular! Most of the leaves are gone so we are down to a lot of green and brown. Once in awhile you pass someone's home that has colorful mums that make you smile.

I am lucky enough to live in Lincoln NE and we are so blessed to have the IQSC here. Although, today in Nebraska looks like snow so right now I think you are very lucky to be where you are. lol.

lovely plant. At first I thought it was a prayer plant and it may well be one of sorts, as the under leaves are purple. It could have been a zebra plant, but there are no purple on them.
